Monique Herrera, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of healthcare experience and advanced specialty training in dermatology. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Monique is passionate about caring for patients in her community.
Her approach emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered dermatologic care, with a strong focus on education and individualized treatment plans that help patients feel informed and confident about their skin health.

Outside of the clinic, Monique enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and keeping up with the latest advancements in skincare and dermatology. She is also committed to continuing her professional education so she can bring current knowledge, techniques, and treatment options to the patients she serves.

Education + Training
Monique completed a Post-Master’s Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship through Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Her dermatology clinical training included hands-on experience at practices throughout Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, where she trained alongside board-certified dermatologists and experienced dermatology advanced practice providers.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Mexico Highlands University. Her nursing education began in Albuquerque, where she earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute after completing her Licensed Practical Nurse training through the Albuquerque Public Schools Career Enrichment Center.
